Tried to fish tapps after work today. Got to the lake around 5:15pm. It was chaos. Not like the weekend chaos, but pretty close. I thought there would be a few boats on the water (especially for it being the middle of the week) mainly from the houses that live on the lake so the tiger muskies wouldn't be as finicky with all the boat traffic. Nope, the parking lot was almost full. Jet Skiers and boaters all over the place. Anyway fished until 7:40pm. Saw 1 tiger and had a follow from another one (36-40" or so) but no dice. I gave the report a 3 because seeing tigers is like catching a few fish of different species in my book.

Its terrible man. Everyone wants to stay local now, makes me want to sell the boat. I was on a Long lake in kitsap a few weekends ago. It has a HUGE parking area for a lake that size. There were rigs parked out to the street, and 2 I saw across the street. Chaos. Lake WA was bad last night for a wednesday too.

Agreed, Tapps gets completely crazy around the launch. The people that just sit there 30 feet off the ramp waiting for their buddy/hubby and blocking all other wanting in or out make me freekin crazy. High speed passes by idiotic recreational boaters, makes me find other things to do sometimes so that I can avoid the hassle. Luckily Tapps is a complex lake and there are tons of little coves and places to hide to avoid the recreational people and their wakes. I like to hang out in one of the "Stump Fields", guaranteed to keep them at a distance.

I love the dudes racing up and down the lake in the 40 ft fountain boats or better yet the Bonney Lake Specials with the open pipes that rattle the windows when they go by. And I also appreciate the wakeboarders, the ones going the wrong way around the lake, kicking up the biggest wake possible ,with the music loud enough for all to enjoy. There I feel better now.

With the wind today, the traffic was very light out there. Managed only 1 smallie and a rockbass in 2 hours fishing. I agree with the crazy s.o.b.'s out there on nice days. I think they buzz you just to get a reaction and when they get one (usually a single finger solute) they act like they've done nothing wrong and get all testy with you. No courtesy what so ever. Whaddya do?

Grab your digital camera and snap a photo of the boat #...The camera also seems to be a lethal weapon against some of the knuckle heads. Then give them a nice wave..or a thumbs up. I also thought that wake boarding right behind the big bayliners use illegal or teaking? Am I right?
