took my son and daughter to moses lake for a day trip looking for some walleye fillets. on the lake @ 6;30 am water temp 75 degrees started pulling crankbaits got 2# smallie almost immediately but that was it for a while, got 2 15" walleye jigging the weed edge. when the thunderstorms and wind came in the afternoon the walleye and smallmouth moved up and the bite was on. pulling crankbaits on the weededges we caught 5 more smallmouth and 12 walleye 15 to 20" made for a great afternoon of fishing for the kids

Thanks for the report, I am headed there for 6 days this Thursday and looking forward to it. Were you trolling the cranks and if so what type? Baby hotlips by chance? And did you do any bottom walkers? And any spot I should start at? I have never fished this body of water before.
thanks

fishing the south end of the lake best bite was on the tip of gailey island with the wind blowing. 12' of water smaller cranks worked the best #5 shadrap, norman tiny 'N', and we caught some on a silver grappler shad. we did pull spinners on bottom bouncers but no bites. we did spend 3hrs north of I 90 no bites. can't wait to go back
