Arrived at Kapowsin around 1100 am. Slight breeze out of the west around 5 mph. Sun was shining, birds were singing...it was going to be a great day.

Paddled out to the middle of the lake and anchored down to check out what was floating. Lots of what appeared to be damsel shucks floating around. Paddled my way around to the west end and tossed around a damsel nymph, no luck. Tried other nymphs under an indicator...again, no luck. Changed to an intermediate sinking line and tied on my trusty woolly bugger. Again, no luck.

Managed to catch a post spawn pop gear and split shot, also a small green wedding ring. C&R'd the wedding ring...kept the pop gear. It will look good in the neighbors tackle box.

While there was no fish for me today, I did manage to experiment with how long my knee caps can absorb UV rays before getting a serious sun burn, and whether or not I could move stumps with my pontoon. Turns out I was wrong on both accounts. It took exactly three hours and forty-five minutes for the sun burn...and three stumps before I determined the pontoon wasn't heavy enough to budge them. Who knew!!??

Maybe I can talk the neighbors cat into sacrificing itself to appease the angry fish gods...tomorrow is another day.
