Well my woes continue although I finally hooked up a musky this morning and had it to the boat. It spit the bucktail as I was fumbling with the net. Not real big maybe 30ish. Yesterday we took out a avid angler friend that was here from Maine . I told him muskies are the fish of 10,000 cast. Apparently in Maine they start at 10,000 and count backwards. He got one about about 30 inches or so. Friday I saw the one I truly want to catch. My girls were swimming and splashing around in the water next to the dock so I decided to check out the action on a new bucktail I made. As I was admiring its action a monster as big around as my thigh slid out from under the dock to admire it also. he followed my figure 8 for a bit the slid back under the dock never to be seen again. The girls splashing a few feet away didn't seem to bother him a bit. The first one a got last year My daughter was swimming only a few feet away.
