Went out to Pine today to try out a new plug. I picked up a deep diving x-rap rapala rainbow trout color. I thought I would try it without any pop gear just my 1/4 oz. worm weight. I trolled the deep part of the lake where its 37-40 feet deep and pretty much cruised around 5 feet of the bottom. I know because I was dragging bottom then reeling up a little and trolling there. I caught a few smaller ones 12-14" but nothing big. Then I decided to go with pop gear in front of my new x-rap and I started getting fish a little bigger. I got this one in the pic probably the biggest one although I had another one that was real close. Its just under 2lbs and 16". The weather was very nice, not too hot, just a slight breeze and only a couple canoes out on the water. Water temp is up to 66 degrees now and with the weather the next couple days I wouldn't doubt it hits 68. Good day on the lake.
