Went out this morning around 7, the lake was calm and it was overcast, saw a bunch of fish feeding at the top of the water. Caught a few rock bass/perch on the little American side with a green wedding ring, tipped with a worm, with a medium sized split shot above the leader. None were keepers. Continued on to a little cove, was about to leave after catching a lot of small perch again, but decided to make one more cast. Caught an odd fish and took a picture, really small, baby perch? baby walleye? I don't know. Caught a nice SMB, it was a fun fish with ultralight tackle and 4lb test. Decided to cross the lake after catching a few more small perch/rockbass and let my line out on the way. That's when i hooked up with this 13" kokanee, also quite a fight on ultralight tackle, but the thing almost jumped into my little inflatable boat before i got him netted. Nothing much more than rock bass/perch the rest of the day. Catching my two biggest fish in one day was exciting.
