I got to Amber about 7:30 am. The lake was calm and about 67° at the surface. Fish were rising just about everywhere.
I began with a brown dry pattern to match the hatch. This produced 4 fish, two cutthroats and 2 rainbows.
After things slowed down I began to see some damsels coming off in the weeds along the side. I used a tan damsel pattern with floating line and casted parallel to the shore. This produced several fish over the next few hours.
I loaded out around 12:30 with at least 20 fish caught ( I lost count). The largest was about 20" with most in the 15" range. 4 or 5 were cutthroats with great color.
Tight Lines!!
