Hit up Bitter about 7ish. Water was dead calm with a very slight breeze coming from the south. I tried fishing trout in my normal spot on the SW end of the lake 35-40 yards off shore with a 2' leader using blue/pink/white powerbait. 5 mins in I had my first strike, but it spit the hook as I tripped over my dog and let go of the rod trying not to crush her. tried again for about 30 mins with no bites. Then I switched over to a black 2" Berkley Power grub over by the lillies to try and fish some rock bass. Had about a million hits, but I guess the 2" grub was to big for them to take in??? I only hooked 1 fish and it was about 4". I'll try again with the rock bass tonight.

If your fishin for rock bass use small vibrac roostertails in almost any color on the north east end of the lake by the big dock . I used to fish that lake all the time in my tube and I would catch tons of them. Big large mouth have beds around now on the south west end of the lake as well, they spawn late on that lake I have found. Fun little lake though.

I'll be sure to check it out. I wasn't sure if there were any LMB in there as I fished em about 3 weeks ago with no prevail. Maybe tonight!
