I was fortunate enough to spend two days back-to-back fishing this great little lake.

Monday, June 2, was an overcast...mid-upper 50's IIRC...I fished from ~1:30-2.30pm
I fished (alone) with a 1/8oz brown rooster tail for about an hour using a slow to moderate retrieve--concentrating near shorelines, overhanging trees, and snags. Landed a total of five fish, with several other strikes and curious fish following the lure all the way to the shore. I found it best to find a new "hole" along the shore after each fish caught...though a couple times I would get back-to-back strikes the first few minutes at a given area.

Today, June 03, was low-mid 50's with moderate rain (with occasional HEAVY rain) along with a light breeze. We fished from ~10:30am - 1:30pm

I brought my lady (and favorite fishing "buddy") with me today so she could try out her new PINK spinners...to my surprise, she had the first fish of the day on cast #3! I started with a black rooster tail (silver blade) and landed three additional fish in the first few minutes, at the first opening we stopped at.

A few snags later we both were forced to try new gear--so we picked some more "colorful" spinners. I'm pretty sure these fish will strike at ANYTHING you put near them...be it orange, red, pink, brown, etc. We didn't have a slow moment all day. Again, the typical fish being 8-10"

An interesting note from today's fishing....
One of the fish caught today had a #6 hood stuck in the side of it's mouth...it looked fresh.
The line was cleanly cut, but nearly a foot of leader remained. I was a little disappointed to see such disregard for the fish....if you can't get the hook, at least cut the line as short as possible.
Then again, with many of the snags around parts of this lake, I guess it is possible the line was snagged and snapped.
At any rate, I was able to safely remove BOTH my hook and the #6 with no apparent harm and let happy fella free.

This is a fun little lake to spend some time on. The fish always seem to be "on" and will take just about anything...but don't expect a big fight, or any meal at all from these skinny little fish.
