Fished all day at Eloika yesterday, it was a great day on the water in the morning we bass fished from 8:00 till 10:00 catching numerous small bass and several between 2.5 and 3.5 with the biggest my buddy caught about 4.5. Then as the bass bite slowed we wanted to get a load of perch for the dinner table and we did we left there with about 25 perch between 8 and 10'', all coming from about 5' to 6' feet of water. We also tried for the crappie near the rocky beach just north of Jerry's landing because we were told the were spawning, but I would say it was over. We caught a couple of small crappie and a ton of sunfish they all went back in the lake. I fished pretty much all day using a red beaded wedding ring with a night crawler without any weight for the bass and when I switched to perch I attached a heavy little split shot to get to the bottom. The wedding ring worked great for me my buddies used traditional baits and lures and thought I was nuts. A fun day and a great meal when we got back that evening.
