Great start to the year at Silver! Had about 10 days of leave and fished everyone of them, some 8-9 hours. 13 May caught my first Tiger on a bit of a overcast and windy day. 34 inch length but real good girth and a very good looking fish. The next day on the 14th I had the Tiger day of my lifetime so far! Caught 4 Tigers including a 40 inch and 36 inch fish! 40" leaped completely out of the water! Been doing great with the large mouth too and also caught my first small mouth at Silver that people have been telling me about. Caught 2 largemouth over 6lbs and a couple around 5lbs. Then probably a dozen or more right around 3lbs. Haven't got another Musky since the 14th, but on the 22nd, the day I caught a 6lb 6 ounce largemouth and that small mouth one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on the water happened to me. As I am trolling along the boat docks back to the launch I pull my bait from the water and a Tiger leaps full body out of the water after it with mouth open no more than 3 feet in front of me. My heart started beating fast and I was frozen and shaken for a few minutes. I just kept mumbling "Oh my Gosh!" What an amazing fish, I'm so happy the size limit has been raised. Good Luck to all of you this year!
