Went to Blackman's Saturday with a friend and his son. Reached the public dock (East side) around 1130. Dock was not that crowded about 5 other people fishing using various techniques to land the big one. Started out bottom fishing with about a 4 foot leader using power bait/eggs combo. My friend and son were using worms. A younger kid about 10 using a kiddie pole came up and fished off the side. He casted about 15 feet out and sat, no more than 10 minutes passed when he started yelling he had a fish. Most of us on the dock didn't think much of it because we already had our share of stockers, 8-10 inchers. I happened to look over and could not believe my eyes, this fish was not your ordinary holdover or just planted triploid, it measured over 20 inches and around 3 pounds. When I yelled for a net everyone came to look and were in total disbelief, it was quite the fish. My hats off to the little guy and his mom who brought him down, an experience he will never forget, nor everyone else on the dock..
