My fishing partner and I have been hitting this lake all summer with very good results. We have never fished this lake before. My main interest is the Tiger Musky. We have had excellent results fishing for both musky and bass. The largest musky caught so far is 40" on a bucktail. This has been the largest musky we have seen so far. These smaller musky are great to fish for because they are aggressive and follow eagerly to the boat. I have been all over the lake looking for musky and found them every place I have stopped. Find good weed beds and fish the top with a bucktail or shallow crankbait. Have your partner fish the deep outside edge with anything that looks like a rainbow or perch. Don't forget the steel or titanium leader. These little buggers will cut braided line with thier teeth (I lost a favorite lure Saturday). The good thing about fishing for musky has been the bonus bass. The large mouth in this lake are hitting rainbow paterns and they have been 2-3lb. bass. Keep a 3-4" grub rigged on a lead head to toss back to bass that follow. Pumpkin seed and motor oil have been good. Please release the tigers you catch, in a few more years we will be catching some large fish.
