Well took Mom out on the lake for the 2nd time in two years. She wanted to get some fish for a fish fry and I knew just the place. Hit the lake pan fishing and got real lucky with some rock bass and perch. She loved fishing with 4lbs test line and small jigs with worm. I spotted many large black bass so tried my luck for some just to keep up my skills. Landed at least 8 very nice bass much like the one in the photo. Large Bass are holding real close to wood logs, so close that I had to drop the bait on there heads to get them to strike. Small bass were chasing and attacking the bait in mid range. The pan fish are holding under grass and some next to the bass locations. In all, had a great day pan fishing and bass fishing. All bass released to be got another day. Numerous large bass spotted had one on so big that it bent the tip of my pole to the bottom of the motor and snapped the line. Great day.

Looks like you had a great day. Excellent information. St.Clair is prime for panfish...Did you go under the bridge and fish the watersking side of the lake?There is a huge school of Crappie on that side...I never really had any luck for panfish on the 5 mph side except right in front of the launch. Big perch in there too!! Good luck to you..See yah on the water sometime. Oh Yeah, if your looking for Bluegill, Pattison Lake is THE place man!!

Thanks Muskyhunter for the information. I did not fish the watersking side yet but I will now that you told me where the crappie are. I have been looking for the crappie on this lake for a long time. One guy had at least four nice size crappie that day. I fished Pattison once and did not like all the grass. P.S. To BIGBOWKES, the fish fry will be this friday.
