Most people think of this as Long Lake, but it is really called Lake Spokane. Lake Spokane is a 25-mile reservoir, running between Nine Mile Falls Dam and Long Lake Dam to the west. Rushed to the public boat launch after work and got on the water by 6pm. Moved on down the reservoir to where the lake started to open up (about 1/2 mile after the Little Spokane River inlet). Started trolling on the west side (30' deep, west side is 1-5' deep...stay away!). Hooked up a few fish. Not sure what they are.. Carp or Whitefish is what I was thinking. Used some Blue Fox, Rapalas and Rooster Tails on the shoreline area but with no luck. We caught a few Largemouth Bass, but they were in the 3-7 inch range. After a few hours of this the sun went down and we called it a day. When we got back to the boat launch, a guy was just dropping his line in for a sec while his girlfriend got the car, and caught a pretty nice Largemouth Bass. We packed the boat up and tried for Bass form the dock for about 20 minutes with no luck and called it a day.
