Launched my pontoon at 8:00 in the morning. Water temp 64. Move to and anchored off the drop-off that joins the west side shallows to the deep water. No visible hatch to speak of. Suspended an olive still water nymph 9-10 feet down, chironimid style, under an indicator in 15 feet of water. That nymph drew immediate strikes and fished very well for the next 3 hours. Over 30 rainbows to net in that period. Another 15 or so hung and lost. Tried chironomids on a couple occasions, which accounted for only four of the fish. The bite was hottest when the breeze picked up and stopped altogether when the wind stopped. Most fish in the 10-12" range, with only 5 fish in the 16-18" range.
