Awww...the frustration, so finally hit the lake on Mother's Day morning with the stepson and rented a motorboat after trying to row my way to through the wind, bad idea, trolled down to a little ways and found sandy shore bank, had a couple nice bites. Water was very shallow and peeped a few fish chasing after my green spinner bait. So everything green in my tackle box was on fire today, but just couldn't seem to hook anything. Spent a good 3-4 hours on the lake today.

I heard a couple tales of the otters stealing fish and my stepson was almost snatched into the water by something as he had his first and a pretty big bass on right off the dock as I saw it jump a couple times and then it was down for good, just below the dock and the line was gently cut by something. Oh well, I'm optimistic about my next trip there as I have to think my time is coming!!

Many years ago I was driving home from work in the morning and it was still dark. Two otters ran right out in front of me and I ended up hitting and killling both of them on the corner area just above the lake. They acutally were moving pretty fast which is why i did not have time to react. They came from the uphill side of the road i was heading i guess north from Tennio to Ranier. I wonder why there are so many otters at this lake?
