Got to Margaret around 5:30ish pm. Started out with a little bead headed fly (still learning names of the different flies) 4 feet in front of an Olive Bugger (Per KTK's advice). Right away I get a bite, but it takes a second for my brain to realize what is going on.... Can you DOUBLE?!!! I had a little guy on the little fly and the biggest fish of the evening on the bugger.... What a kick reeling in two fish at once. I dropped back in and landed another fish 3 minutes later on the bugger but lost him, and my good fly :( near the boat... The next 2 hours was filled with landed 3 more fish that were all released and have a number of nips that pretty much drove me crazy... they just weren't getting hooked... my only guess is that we a have a lake full of very wise fish at Lake Margaret! Had a great time although it got a bit cold. I saw SICLMN out there in his new raft and he was actually doing pretty well. Have a great week all and hope to see you out on the water soon.

Nice report Toadster...pick up some more of them flies as they are the ticket. I forgot to add...snip off about 1/8" of the tail on the fly and you will increase your hookup rate dramatically. Black is the name of the game out there. Good stuff Toad! PM me if you want to go to Rattlesnake mid-late week/weekend...later bud! KTK

hey toad37, if you want some serious action, lose the dropper and put any sparsley tied soft hackle(sz. 14-16,olive,anything with a red or orange bead head) throw it out anywhere you see risers, let it sink and strip it in quickly. a buddy an I stripped in about 40 fish an hour the other day at Margaret. lots of fun!!
