The day was overcast, 60 degrees and the water temperature was 54 degrees. There was a steady 15 mph wind from the southwest. The water was clear of any algae bloom.
We were most successful trolling with a green leech. Black also proved to be a great color for the day. The fish were between 8-14" and appeared to be quite healthy.
Most of the fish were caught on the west side of the lake and appeared to be fairly deep. All fish were released.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing two bald eagles. One actually dove down to the water and caught a good sized trout.
While landing about four fish each and losing many others while retrieving them, we finished the day at 2:30 p.m. It was a very enjoyable day!
