This isn't going to be much of a report but thought I would share it. I thought I would take my two kids out in our raft on Sunday and let them fish with a slip bobber and worms, last year we got over 40 trout like this the weekend after opening day. My daughter is 4 and my son is 8. My daughter was more interested in what we had to eat then fishing but that's ok... We were able to get a few bites but unable to hook anything. After an hour the plastic oar lock snapped, wasn't the end of the world just a little harder to get around. Well, since we weren't getting any more bites on the bobbers Dad had a great idea, let's change techniques.... I'll take the bobbers off and let the kids pull a worm around. Note to self, attention span of a four and a half year old is not long enough to old onto a pole for more then 4.3 seconds, it was about that long after I explained to her to hang onto the rod extra tight that I heard her say," Daddy, my pole went in the water". Aaaahhhhhh...... With the lack of bites and a missing pole and broken oar lock Dad had about enough, Mom came and picked us up and I was back in 20 minutes with my mask and snorkle, so if you guys saw some crazy dude snorkling around the dock to the left of the boat laurch it was me!!! And yes I did get the pole back!!!!:) I'll be back with fly rod in hand this weekend either at Pine or Rattle Snake. I live in Issaqauh and if any one is looking to hit Lake Alice, Pine, Beaver or Rattle Snake let's hook up. I don't have a"boat" but I do have a pontoon and a float tube.
