First time out this year and decided to try Blackman's....got a late start and hit the lake around 10:15 and fished until 3:00...Fished the area between the state park and the public boat launch with sinking fly line and a green Jameson Shrimp. Ended up catching 36 trout total in the course of the day and lost many others...Had over 75 strikes total. Most were small plants 4-8" but did manage to catch to TRB that were 14-16". Catch and release and all in all a great day at the lake. Many people were catching them all over the place including boats anchored, trolling spinner baits and those fishing from shore. Did see a lot of people keep the 4-8" which is sad...Its no surprise why these lakes never hold big fish anymore on the Western side of the state. Will be trying Chain lake later to see if it has any holdovers.
