Ok this little lake is called Grass lake and some people call it Lois lake it's located near mud bay in Thurston county. I used to fish this grassy and shallow lake years back and did very well it was full of perch and plenty of 2-4 lb bass and believe it or not 3/4 to up to 1 pound bluegills! This years goal for me is to fish a lot of my old grounds, I've already covered a few and cant get into others. Anyway back to the report on this lake, If anyone else knows of this place and have not yet fished it this year and plan to dint waste your time, there is no sign of any life in there at all! no bluegills ,bass or anything, this lake is shallow and very clear when i fished it before you could always seen the fish that's what made it so fun to fish. We tried plastics, spinnerbaits, jigs, LIVE bait(for the bg and perch)Nothing! there was a biologist there who was doing water samples and had his fly pole with also and we talked for a while before we started and after. he said he still caught fish in there last year. the samples he took of the water turned out good but he said there was 1 specific plant growing in there that is a oxygen hog and was becoming pretty heavy in there. He believes the lake had a complete die off last summer, and it's very believable. He also had some amphibian traps in there and they were completely empty. If any of you plan on fishing this I'm trying to save you time. This is very sad for me because this used to be one of my favs.
