Arrived at Tanwax at about 5:45am. No wind, water was like glass. Didn't take the pontoon out this time, so I don't have any water temps. Don't imagine it would be much different from yesterday, which was approx. 50F. Might have been a little lower as the ambient air temp seemed a bit cooler.

Left the pontoon strapped to the truck, fished from the Camp Lakeview dock at the northeast end of the lake. Started off tossing around a silver crocodile, got a couple hits, but missed the hook set. Changed over to a 1/4 oz. polished gold kastmaster, hooked one but lost it at the dock. Tossed around the kastmaster for about half an hour then switched to a plain jane worm and bobber with about a three foot leader. Seemed to work rather well as I caught my limit in about an hour and a half. No brutes, just pan size...ranged from ten to twelve inches.

Great day of fishing...if only because I caught my first trout...and ended the longest dry spell I have ever had. Will be back again...

i got thousands of dollars of fishing gear that i love and have been using and catching few fish because they are fun to throw but the last few times i have gone fishing i have been trolling a real worm on a hook very slow and been having much more luck. the water will warm up soon and it will be on but until then i will make sure i have worms with me. good post and i am glad your dry spell is over. fishon fisherman.
