Went fishing today off of the dock. Well the fish are still hungry as i caught 4 planters in 15 minutes. I then decided i did not want to catch my limit yet so i switched to a kastmaster and caught 1 and had 3 bites and 2 follows. I then switched back to powerbait and caught another one in 5 minutes. I then went home so all in all a great game.

Nice! Did you see any large carry-overs or browns being caught when you were there over the weekend and today? Or were they all stockers?

last year the best place to catch the big fish was use a shorter leader, with marshmallows and worms off the right side of the dock by the picnic tables, at least that was last year.but really the right side of the dock is where the deepest part of the lake.

Yeah, I found that out last year. Off the far end by that roof and off to right-middle...they hold in there big time. Plus, that small cove to the left of the launch holds some big browns that are still in there. Does anyone know how the browns got in there to begin with?

I believe the browns were planted in 2001 by WDFW and i believe they planted 900 if i am wrong some on correct me. But i suggest anyone who can get out there does so.

last year I heard a guy saying that a predatory fish was introduced to the lake and it ate all the rainbows so they drained the lake and killed the predatory fish, and to stock it they just mixed it up a bit with the browns. i don't know if thats true but i could have happened

A 15 pound brown out of Pine? That's pushing it! What a fish if you caught one! Would you C&R it?

I went out there tonight. Caught about 20 planters with me fly rod. All were returned to the lake. However, last night I snapped one's spine and drew the eagle out of that tree

well imagine how big a 36 inch brown is and i would take measurements, photograph it and release it.
