Got on the water about 9:30 nice day a little breezy and cold but not too bad, jigged our way from Grays landing to the north end of the lake with out so much as a bite. We tried out in the middle, close to shore, on bottom, near the surface, nada. It didn't look like the handful of other boats on the water were doing well either. The good news is the day before I got a turkey, a tom with about a 6" beard. For anybody who cares Diamond lake is free of ice also.

Did you see anyone trolling for Browns.

It figures, I decied not to go because of the weather. I dropped my nephews off near Tum Tum and they seen a lot of birds but could call any to them. Did you call your Bird in.

Bigbowkes, I think the Turkey Season is through the end of May.

Note, the lake just cleared of ice sometime between April 11 and April 16. the water has got to be about 33 degrees. Can you say coooooooooooooooold?

Nobody was trolling, there was two boats fishing right at Grays landing, one fishing the shallows between Grays and Jerrys landing and another fishing the far north end of the lake, looked like most of them were after bass or panfish. I thought about trolling to see if I could catch my first brown, but since we couldn't even get a dinker perch to bite, we gave up. I tried calling it in but he was with a flock of hens and they kept moving away so I just chased them down until I got a shot. Anglinarcher is correct the turkey season runs through the end of may.
