Started fishing about noon on a calm but cool and cloudy day. Went to the far side of lake from the boat launch to get out of most of the algae bloom. Fish seemed to congregate in the clearer water. Use a variety of attractor bugger patterns. Orange tails or flies with a red bead head seemed to work best for these mostly 10-11 inch stockers that fought very well.
Used a sink tip line as most fish were in the 4-6 foot column of water or deeper. Keep the tails a little short as they tend to nibble. also, the small bay in the algae bloom was decent. We casted and trolled with equal success. 2 of us C&R about 25 fish in 5 hrs.
