Fished Lake Stevens from 7:30 until 11:30 this morning.
The illusive Kokanee continue to prove challenging, to put it nicely. Let's just say I have never had to worry about how many fish you're allowed to keep! Limit of 10, never even close.
Trolled from 15 - 45 feet down (based on fish marked), various speeds, very slow to even slower. Various baits and lures used also. Flasher, no flasher, cowbell, no cowbell. Wedding rings to small dick nite spoons. White Shoepeg Corn to Gulp power egg tipped lures.
I continue to be stumped. I did rate my experience a 3 because all in all, it beats a day of working!
I have caught 1 or 2 in a day before, but none today.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jeff

No suggestions, I've never really targeted a specific species of trout, but the limit is 5 fish per day. Just an FYI incase you start having some luck, I'd hate to see ya get a fine or your gear taken away.

jflauto you are doing everything right, just need a little warmer weather to turn the bite on. Its been the same in Lake Samish.
