We got in the water at 9:15 and left at 12:15 Fishing was slow. Water temp was 54. I still fished with a worm and my son used a Mepps for casting. We trolled across the lake and that is where I caught a nice trout with a Dick Nite spoon. Later Adam put a Zak worm on and then tipped it with a real nightcrawler and we started trolling. He had something on but he couldn’t figure out what until we brought it up and he saw a big catfish. We didn't bring a net so he grabbed the line (4 lb test) and brought it into the boat. He hasn't ever caught one before. He was shaking he was so excited. Once again he out did me (bigger fish).

Nice fish!
Those catfish are ugly but they sure are good eating!

As a kid I remember my mom cooking them up. That is why I never fish for them. I did not like them. But my son wants to try it so he cleaned the fish. I will try cooking it up maybe tomorrow just to try it out. I didn't like to eat catfish when I was a kid just like vegetables. I like vegetables now so maybe I will like catfish.
