Finally got my new boat wet I was going to play with my sonar still learning to run it but thought I would drag something around while I was so put on a 50/50 0000 dodger and a pink/pearl #1 dicknite and let it out 40' behind the boat with no weight. Just put pole in the holder and fish on. Caught #2 on a 50/50 dicknite. I was marking fish at 15 to 25' so I put on a small pink squid and sent it down on the rigger after an hour and a half and no Koks I went to a watermelon dodger and a red weddingring with a orange Gulp power egg and no weight 3 fish in 45 min. After that all fish where planters 9" to 10" Great day to be out and new boat was great.

Those are real good setups. I caught a few decent Kokanee along with trout last year in May. I used a 6" pink dodger with corn and or maggots behind it. This year I think I am going to use more lures or flies.
This years Kokanee return from fry plants is from 16,000 vs 25,000 in years past. Only positive I can think of is perhaps the average size will improve with a little more food available...
