Went to Pond 4 for about 2 1/2 hours. Not much happening. Lots of fish jumpin, but no luck only a cpl bumps. Fished right off the dock. I am new to this area, is there a better place to bank fish from? keep fishin.

Depending on where you live, and since the Alpine lakes are all either still frozen over or you have to battle 6 ft of snow up there, I would suggest that you try Rotary Lake right here in Yakima. Go down first street until you come to Owens Suzuki and turn on to E "R" street, follow to the Coca-Cola plant and turn to the left onto a gravel road. Stay on this until you come to the parking lot. From there its about a 1/4 mile walk on the greenway and it puts you on the east side of the lake. Pick any bank along the east or north side and you should have a great time. There are no shorage of species to fish for, wild rainbow, browns, triploids, largemouth bass, channel cat, bluegill, pumpkinseed, and perch. Just remember the road into the lake closes at 9 p.m. and they lock the gate, so you could get trapped in there if you don't get out in time.

I pulled 3 3lb Bows and a 3 lb brown out of there last weekend, all in about an hour, and had 5 fish snap my line on the strike.

P.S. as an aside, don't leave anything valuable in your car and leave your doors unlocked (that way they don't have to break out your window to find out you don't have anything)

ponds 1,and 2 were just stocked with 6 lb brooders.gotta take the first exit south of yakima and follow it for a couple of miles till you come to mellis road then you follow it under the freeway then turn left and go to the parking lot at the end and follow path to tunnel that lakes you yet again back under the freeway to the lakes because you cannot drive up to them.they should be stocked better than #4 theres walleye in those lakes and i'm pretty sure you have to release them.
