4/4/2008 11:24:00 AMDon't worry, he's got the bug bad; we'll be going out a lot more. In fact, we'll probably go out again this weekend. He's still a little young - his patience wears out after a couple of hours, and he's still learning how to cast - but once we get him catching some fish, I think he'll be even more excited about going out than he already is.

Get him out a lot this summer when the panfish move shallow. He'll have a ton of fun catching those on worms.

4/4/2008 9:14:00 PMIt's not how many you catch, its the company you have. Glad to hear we have a new fisherman out there. Wait until he catches his first fish.
Now, Greenlake is a perfect lake for kids. Later this month they should have it LOADED with catchable trout. You will know when you see everybody fishing around the lake fishing.
If you use power bait.
Add a couple Maggots to the hook then add your Power bait, (make sure it floats) 4 to 5 fooot leader, and you be on the fish.
