What a difference a year makes. Last year We limited out on nice rainbows, and this year we drowned a dozen crawlers. we got to north teal lake early morning opening day, fished intensely. and a couple nibbles but not a single fish caught!. We were checked by game department twice in 15 minutes. (nice to know there still around) but where's the fish?..Both game wardens when asked about were the hot lakes were. stated. we haven't checked a single fish caught anywhere today?...They were at many lakes from Quincy clear to Othello. and nothing. I pray this is not the future we sportsman have to deal with! Now days with gas prices skyrocketing, and those of us on fixed incomes barely making ends meet, a fish fry every now and then courtesy of Washington States Wildlife service. helps a lot on the grub budget!..but its looking more and more like if were craving our fish fry's ....Skippers and Long John Silvers is our only choice. Sad but true.
