I’ve have been reading all the reports about the Lake Washington Cuts, and finally decided to get the boat out early and see if we could get a couple. My son, Dean and I planned a nice late March (Friday) day off and headed for the Kenmore launch. It was about 10am. It was raining lightly. As we headed out into the lake the wind started blowing the rain sideways. Then the rain turned solid and white. We lasted almost 45 minutes before we had to quit. The snow was so thick IN the boat that we were in danger of actually slipping into the water. It was as close to miserable as one can get, BUT it sure beat being at work. The water temp was 47 degrees; the air was colder than that. We headed over to the North West side of the lake above Sand Point and worked wedding ring spinners and worms in water from 45-70 ft. We didn’t see anything on the sounder, and after one pass headed back in. Well try this again when the sun decides to come out.
