Hello! Another trout season is quickly approaching. The lake was stocked with really bright 2 year old Cutthroats 2 weeks ago and some catchable 'bows last week. Lots of nice fish starting to be caught as the lake temperature rises. Try trolling a crawler on a wedding ring or floating a green crawler off the bottom. Happy fishin' to all of you!

caught a few of those cutthroat. They really fight!!!! Use a wedding ring and worm green is best. Fish where the sparrows are dipping bugs.

Thanks for the report. I've never trolled the wedding ring setup; only casted one with no luck. What's your setup for trolling? How far behind the boat; on the bottom, near top water? When you troll, I'm sure you're barely crawling on the water (I've got a new 5hp trolling motor (Nissan), that I'll be breaking-in this spring). Trolling is new to me, I've always felt it more productive to let the bait sit on the bottom and "feel" the hit. Time to experience another aspect of fishing, huh?

Can I get the wedding ring and night crawler deep enough with one of those banana-shaped sinkers? How heavy should it be? Lastly, am I using a large complete night crawler or can I use half the worm?

Thanks a bunch for the update. I want this coming fishing season to be one of my best....
