Fished banks lake this last weekend with bass fishing wiz Mike Carney it was cold dudes, We worked hard for bass but the bass just were not up yet like last year at this time, we not only could not get much in the way of strikes we could not find the fish on the fish finder either which means the Bass were still wintering out in the middle of the lake, Mike worked hard for us but nothing was happening on Sunday we started picking up nice rainbows on crank baits we caught are limits of 1 and a half to 3 pound rainbows fishing the southern end of the lake. Banks lake has received plants of 100,000 triploid fry the last couple of years, this should make for some pretty awesome trout fishing when the bass are not biting. they seamed to bite really well in the morning and started to peter out as the sun got a little higher in the Sky, I would recommend that any one who wants to learn to fish for Bass spend a few bucks and fish with this guy you can learn a lot in a short time and learn the different pattern depending on the time of year, He knows them all and can greatly increase your ability to catch fish. good luck to all and good night
