Headed out to Banks Friday afternoon to start pre fishin. Decided to wait until Saturday morning to fish. Within about 20 mins I had 3 smallies all over 2 lbs. I went out and start looking for new spots that aren't fished as much to see what I could find. I ended up with 10.5-11.0 lbs each day. After about 12 I decided to just fun fish and not really fish very hard. I had Jolene, Travis and Trisha with so I figured I better get them out to have some fun. I did find a few larger fish that could have been caught but I didn't want to bother with it. All in all it should be a good qualifier this year. Good luck to you all and I will see you there.
