Went off dike 6 again. Used a mepps#5,bright red. Also threw some rapala's at varied depths. Caught a nice pile of weeds, most action my rod has seen in awhile. However, did see a smallie hanging around some tree stumps. I really do think this is a good spot, just need them to bite. It was a good day, nice and quiet.

Dike 6 is out kinda at the North tip of the lake right? To the far left of dike 4? You can see the Texaco? Or am I mistaken? Thats good that the weeds are there already. Remember last year, the water was still 6 feet down.Excellent Musky hiding spots. see yah!

Hola, Dike 6 is in the noth tapps park.instead of going to the launch, hang a left. This is a decent spot, even on windy days you got good cover. I'm up there usually at least once a week. I've noticed especially in the past month that water is getting pumped in at break neck speed. Some spots I typically fish are under several feet of water. However,I think I need to make a note somewhere,if somebody brings a boat into this area and is not to familar with that region of the lake, use extreme caution. Obviously we are aware there are stumps and trees all over, but dike 6 has a few spots that could fool some, need to stay off the shoreline at least 30ft and there is a nasty sand bar at the southeast tip. But I've seen fish in here, the last 3 weeks alot of action. Almost like jaws, seen fins above the surface but could'nt tell what they were.
