Arrived at the lake at around 2:00, was surprised to see so many people fishing! I thought that it must be really good with the number of boats and dock fisherman. I put my boat in and trolled for awhile with a wooly bugger, no results. Then I switched to power bait on the bottom, no results. Went back to trolling with a kastmaster, no results except for one quick strike.

The water temp. is beginning to warm but still a very chilly 47 degrees according to my fishin' buddy. I hope when it warms up later this month things will pick up. I only saw two fish landed in 3 and a half hours of fishing. Don't think I'm coming back till I actually hear that things have improved.

Time of day seems to be a big issue now for some reason. If its like last year the water should start to green up in a few weeks. Right now its pretty clear at Battle Ground Lake.

i was fishing yesterday and had a couple nibbles on powerbait but could not hook em.

i trolled for a while with a weddingring tipped with a little worm and it produced one small trout. its all about WERE you fish on the lake, not necessarily WHEN and WHAT you fish with

if that gives you any hints.
