Cold! It was a little difficult to find the fish but we found small groups between the state park and the blue roofs. Caught 6 lakers (3-10 lbs.) and 1 ling (3 lbs.). Fish seemed a little difficult to hook, might not be acting too aggressively. We searched pretty hard for a "group" of fish but found only one or two in each hole or hump. We have, and continue to spend most of our time on the lake looking for pinpoint locations. We have a few GPS coordinates but need more. They only way is to put in your time with a good fish finder and lots of gas!

Yes, we use braided line.......about 3 feet of 10-20 lb. mono leader.....they just didn't seem to be going aggressively after the bait....thus the hooks of those we landed were lightly hooked on the lip. Came of easily after netting them. Those we didn't hook........must not have been going after the bait to swallow, ie. we couldn't get the hook in. BTW, we use a trailing treble hook also.
