Mike Grahm had met me at the lake and we had a great day on the water. What a great day to be on Lenore. Clear skies, light breeze and 70 degrees. The water temperature was 53 degrees.
After taking some video shots of the lake, I got on the water about noon and moved into an area that the water depth was 8-10 feet. I found a spot that had a concentration of fish and started working it with a red bead head olive Carey. Within 15 minutes I caught 3 Lahontans, ranging from 20"-24". At around 2:00 p.m., the north breeze stopped completely and so did the bite. About 4:00 p.m., a light breeze started coming from the south and the bites started up again. In the next hour and a half, I landed 3 more about the same size.
There was quite a bit of insect activity. Most noticeable was the grey Gray Speckled wing Mayflies. Also, there were caddis flies and quite a few airborne spiders. I saw two fish racing across the surface with their mouths open, apparently trying to catch a spider that was being dragged across the water by the wind blown silk web. Very interesting phenomenon to see.
I finished the day with six Lahontans and Mike got nine. He had caught three before we met up. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day and I was able to get some great video shots for a future lake video.

Hey Mark is that a Scotty I see on your pontoon?! How well does that work. I might have to stick one on my own pontoon!

Yes it is. It works great. Here is the link to the model @ Scotty:

I also have a Scotty downrigger for an anchor which I really like also. This is the link for it:
http://www.scotty.com/marine/products/product/downriggers/laketroller/1073.html

The fly rod holder adjusts to almost any position and is easily removed. The downrigger for the anchor is quickly removed removed also.
I'm not sure where you can get them on the west side. I got my at the White Elephant in Spokane. You might try Joe's or Sportsman's Warehouse.
