My son and I used sandshimp and a slip bobber off the public dock. A lady just landed a smaller jack when we arrived.
She was using sand shrimp also but scented it with herring oil. I had a couple nibbles but I wasn't sure if I was getting a bite or what. I was about 2 feet deep with the shrimp. The salmon were rolling all over. Most people on the dock
were using egg clusters. I have never fished for salmon like this before, but I for sure noticed my bobber moving, but it never
went all the way under. Does anyone know if this is how the salmon bite? And what depth should the bait be? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Salmon tend to mouth the bait abit, so you have to set the hook good. As soon as you see the bobber move, yank back and set that sucker.
