I fished Soda Lake from both boat launch areas from noon to three. What a beautiful lake! I panfished for the first two hours there and caught and released several nice perch, as well as some bluegill and small smallies using jigs tipped with maggots. I bottomfished with nightcrawlers my last hour there and caught nothing. Something did hit my bait hard twice, I somehow managed not to hook it though. Breath-taking lake, with superb perch fishing!

IT IS DEFINENTLY PRETTY SIGHTS. THERE ARE ALSO SOME MONSTER WALLEYE N THIS LAKE. I WOULD BET $ THAT'S WHAT THUMPED YOUR CRAWLER'S. I USUALLY FISH IT FOR A FEW HOURS WHEN IM FISHING POTHOLES. THE PERCH ARE A LIL BIGGER THAN POTHOLES.
