hey there everybody-
let me first say that i have been reading the reports on here for a long time- and i finally decided to become a member- the reports have been really helpful as i grew up in NM -- far from any water and fishing experience- i kept reading the reports from silver -- muskies-- and well - i do believe they exist- we hit the water about 1100 am. My son caught several small blue gill and perch- as did i. then my buddy and i decided to try for bass- we started out in the shallow bay around the corner from rubys- no luck with plastics or rapalas- so we moved to the west side of the lake- just south of the boat launch- i had on a chartreuse bright yellow green spinner- and no steel leader- 3rd cast- i had a fish on the line- and it felt big! especially for me- lol it was indeed a muskie- about 33 inches long- and about 8-10 lbs- of course he was released-
the next afternoon- my daughter and i went out again- i was ready to land another one- we started by the boat launch- and nothing was biting - cept the small blue gills, perch- so we moved back to the shallow bay- i had 3 good hits on a white worm- texas rigged- and then i swapped it out for a jointed rapala- 20 minutes later- i had a hit- and it was another muskie! about 22 inches- but fought pretty good!! he too was released to fight another fight!
so again hey everybody- and thanks for all the info-- i never woulda found a muskie had i not read all these helpful reports
