3 Miles upstream from Lower Granite is Wawawai lake where I fished. I brought corn, worms and my jigs I first planned to get carp but since the tournament there was no carp in sight so after getting a few sunfish bites on the corn I switched to worms again a few bites I just couldn't set the hook. I then switched to white crappie jigs which instead of crappie caught me a 12" bass. I decided I'd just go for bass today and put a brown grub on a heavier jig so I could cast farther and pulled a few more small mouth to shore nothing bigger than the 12". For those of you who keep your catch there is a family of muskrats that live up and down this lake so be very careful. While you cast they will make several passes for your fish and I have seen them successful in stealing a fisherman's catch. It was a good day I only fished until 10:30 because I took my wife with me I'll probably be back there or boyer this Sunday.
