My 2 friends and I were out in our inflatable boat from 4pm to 8:30pm with two poles, both with bobbers and a small treble with a worm. It was sunny with a slight breeze every now and then. We were on the side of the lake that the park's on, to the left. We tied up to a submerged tree about 20 feet from shore and cast towards it - as close to the beach as possible without getting hooked in the tree (which we did a few times). By the way, we have no idea what we're doing! About 10 times, the bobber would go under, and we'd start reeling it in, but nothing. The I did get one, a bass about 8 inches long! I threw it back and we headed in. Just for kicks, I cast out one more time from the shore with the remaining worm, and I caught another bass, smaller than the first, and threw him back too. An experienced fisherperson was there and said something about a deep channel in the middle of the lake where there were HUGE bass, and taught me how to make an anchor out of some milk jugs for the boat and that this website had topographic maps of lakes. So, I joined, and here's my 1st post!

Nice job killa! Lots of trout planted in the lake. A slip sinker and some powerbait or your worms and a bobber and just drift with the wind.
