This was my first time fishing Hutchinson. We started off going to the left of the dock, my buddy was throwing a spinnerbait and I was using a black/gold floating rapala. Neither of us caught a fish. I switched to my ultra light and went to the left side of the dock. I was using yellow/white 1/64 oz jig and a maggot. I caught a bunch of small, very small bluegill, but I had a couple of big bites. Moved to the dock and caught a nice sized bluegill. I also caught more tiny bluegill and a crappie. The crappie wasn't too tiny but still was only about 7". There is a ton of small bluegill around the dock. A man fishing there w/ a worm and bobber couldn't keep them off. About 2 seconds after his worm hit the water he had a fish, but they were all about 4". Great place to take a kid, non stop action. It was 95 degrees when we were here so I didn't expect too much. The boat ramp is tiny, but your only allowed to use trolling motors anyway.
