I pushed my portabote into the lake around 7 am from the gravel launch on the same side of the lake as the boat/fishing dock and cement ramp. Three other boats went in around the same time and they all ripped to the far side of the lake that I haven't seen. I fished in the lilly pads between both boat launches. That end of the lake must be around 1000 yards with deep swampy woods covering the edge of the lake beyond the 30 feet of pads. I tossed plastic worms, frogs and a Zara spook with no hits. I never even saw a fish. This looks like a great bass hang out with lots of cover, shallow water 2-3 feet deep and many trees and logs hanging over the water. I fished without a motor and the wind picked up and blow my off around 10 am. I talked to another boater about the fishing he was also skunked and said he had never seen another boat fishing where I was because there's no fish at that end. Kitsap Lake is very large and I will return with a motor. Around 9 am the skiers also took to the water.
