Well after cleaning the nice walleye at Upper Goose we camped out at Lower Goose. We launched at 5am chasing any bass! After getting 2 dink LMB on a suspending rapala I switched to a DT10 Rapala, Mustangman held on to his mini-king spinner and he was hit hard and quick and was broke off for the 2nd time on this trip (Spider Line), it was a hugh fish and took lots of drag before it broke. I however didn't get broke. I was nailed while cranking for big bass, to my amazement I landed this 5lb Catfish, I believe its a Brown bullhead, but growing up in Kansas I never saw one this big! I released it after debating on adding it to the fish fry. We loaded up and headed to Potholes for our fish-fry with our friends (John and co)before hitting Evergreen Reservoir.

Hey there, I've done a fair amout of catfishing and by the looks of the pictures I'm about 99 percent sure that is a channel catfish.... But I have been wrong before.

The picture on the left looks like a channel cat, but the picture on the right looks like a yellow bullhead. If its a catfish that's a nice fish, but if its a bullhead, whether it be black, brown, or yellow bullhead that would be a state record

Actually I believe the record for the brown is around 12# but thanks. The tail was pretty rounded and not forked like a channel cat, also no spots around the sides or tail.
