Glad you hooked up into one! I've been hearing good things about this ship canal area. I haven't been around there yet.
I've tried fishing portage bay area before though. How do you get to that shore spot you are talking about? (concrete walkway?)
Is there a road or street that leads to it? If you don't want to reveal it, i totally understand. Tight lines.

6/4/2007 9:06:00 AMI drove into the UW right by Husky stadium and parked by a climbing wall that is just west of the building where you can rent canoes. There is a walking trail that parallels the water and if you head west you will come to a stairway that takes you down to the walkway by the water. You are fishing over a railing but it was not really a problem. Hope this helps.
