This lake is 110 acres and located six miles south southwest from Oroville via Blue Lake Road, and contains Lahontan cutthroat. It has no public restrooms or campsite, although we camped under some bushes 70 feet from shore.

We saw four snakes, none of them rattle snakes; so beware when walking in the bush.

I caught fish from shore and close to shore when fishing from the float tube. A Denny’s Stillwater Nymph and Marabou Damsel pattern were both productive on a transparent intermediate line. I spent most of my time fishing Wannacut Lake because I wanted to harvest my limit and this lake has only a limit of one. The fish didn’t fight as well as those in Wannacut due to the warmer temperature of Blue Lake. Caught about six fish greater than 14 inches, with one measuring 20 inches.
